At CareBridge Academy, we believe confidence, communication and future-readiness skills should begin developing long before adulthood. Many young people possess excellent abilities, creativity and potential, yet often lack opportunities to build confidence in communication, presentations, teamwork, goal setting and practical life skills outside of traditional academic learning. Our new Future Readiness Workshops for young people aged 13–15 have been designed to provide a supportive, encouraging and engaging environment where young people can begin developing these important skills in a relaxed and positive way.
The workshops are designed to complement both school and home education journeys and focus on helping young people feel more confident in themselves and their future pathways. Sessions include Confidence & Communication, Future Goals & Pathways and Digital & Presentation Skills, helping young people explore areas such as communication, professionalism, teamwork, creativity, presentation skills and future aspirations. The workshops are delivered online in a friendly and interactive format, allowing young people to participate from the comfort of their own home whilst engaging with others in a supportive environment.
At CareBridge Academy, we understand that every young person develops differently and that confidence building often begins with small, positive experiences. The workshops are not designed to place pressure on young people or replicate a formal classroom environment. Instead, they are intended to encourage participation, build self-belief and help young people recognise their strengths and abilities. Early intervention and confidence-building support can play an important role in helping young people feel more prepared for future opportunities, progression and adulthood.
A unique part of the workshops is that they have also been developed with input from 13-year-old George, who is home educated and already gaining practical experience supporting CareBridge Academy with digital and presentation-based tasks. His involvement helps ensure the workshops remain relatable, youth-focused and engaging for young people taking part. Through practical activities, discussion and encouragement, the workshops aim to create a positive and motivating space where young people can develop confidence, communication and future-focused skills that may support them throughout education, future employment and personal development journeys.
The Future Readiness Workshops are held online monthly and are open to young people aged 13–15 who would benefit from confidence-building, communication and practical future skills support in a flexible and encouraging environment.
